Help Us Rip the Runway in Support of the Battle Against Breast Cancer!
Join us on October 7, 2017, as the Association of Alexandria Radiologists presents the 3rd annual Couture for a Cure, a fundraising event dedicated to the battle against breast cancer. The fashion show will take place at the US Patent & Trademark Office in Alexandria where every dollar raised will directly support the Vola Lawson Breast Cancer Memorial Fund… a memorial fund established to raise money that contributes to the cost of annual mammograms for the women in Northern Virginia.
The fashion show will feature models who are physicians, prominent community members, and breast cancer survivors. The emcee for the evening is GeNienne Samuels, the President/CEO and Co-Founder of Sideline Prep, LLC. GeNienne recently retired from her role as the In-Arena Host for the Washington Wizards.

About The Vola Lawson Breast Cancer Memorial Fund
Since its inception in 1994, the Alexandria Walk to Fight Breast Cancer has helped over 8,000 uninsured Alexandria women receive free mammograms and other diagnostic screenings. To honor the Walk’s founder, Vola Lawson who passed away December 2013, the Walk has been renamed to the Vola Lawson Breast Cancer Memorial Fund. Over the last several years, the Walk Fund usage has increased while donations have seen a decrease, resulting in the Fund’s near depletion. If more money is not raised, this service to the Alexandria community will no longer be available.
